Company history

Very few companies can look back on such a long, varied and eventful history. The companies from which today’s AUDI AG was formed – the oldest, NSU, was founded in 1873 – continue to characterise Audi and its corporate culture to this day. An innovative and pioneering spirit, as well as the courage to try out new things, have been part and parcel of Audi from day one. Even today, these qualities form the basis for the company’s aspiration to play a decisive role in shaping the present and the future of mobility.

Visit us at the Audi museum mobile in Ingolstadt or at the Audi Tradition exhibition in the Audi Forum Neckarsulm. The August Horch Museum in Zwickau is a great place to learn more about the early days of our predecessor brands and about car manufacturing in Saxony.
