Skoda Auto VW India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has been producing the Audi A4, A6, Q3, Q3 Sportback, Q5 and Q7 models for AUDI AG at the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar site (formerly Aurangabad) in the Indian state of Maharashtra since September 2007. In spring 2007, an independent sales company was founded to coordinate Audi's business activities on the Indian market.
