Closer than ever before — a new approach to our vehicle handover
Experiencing the partnership in person — Audi employees were able to do this in November 2022 when they drove the all-electric fleet from Ingolstadt to Säbener Straße in Munich to meet the players and hand over their new vehicles to them.
This special day was devoted to the 20-year partnership and, more specifically, to the individuals who have made up the last 20 years and will also shape the next 20 years. On the occasion of the anniversary, board members, employees and players gathered at the handover of the new vehicles to the athletes. However, instead of inviting FC Bayern to Ingolstadt as usual, this year the entire fleet was driven by selected Audi employees from the Audi Forum in Ingolstadt to Munich.
An innovative, once-in-a-lifetime experience that has never taken place in this form before.

Together, Audi and FC Bayern celebrated not only the last 20 years of partnership in Säbener Straße, but also the future. Because only if we invest in our progress together will we be able to continue to tell this success story of a unique partnership. This day was about more than football and cars — even if these things connected us initially. It was about people.
Of the 1,500 employees who took part in the internal competition, 30 were able to enjoy the Audi and FC Bayern partnership at first hand. Under the guidance of the Audi Driving Experience, they drove 15 of the players' personally configured Audi e-tron models to Säbener Straße. For some employees, it was even their first time behind the wheel of an Audi RS e-tron GT.

After a meet and greet with FC Bayern board members Oliver Kahn and Andreas Jung, and an exclusive tour of the training ground with Giovane Élber, the Audi team was even allowed to attend a private club training session. Eventually, attention turned to the vehicles as the players gradually left the dressing rooms to be accompanied to their new cars by the Audi employees. Once there, autographs were exchanged for car keys, and more than a few selfies were taken.
This special vehicle handover speaks not only for what this partnership can make possible, but also for those who make it possible in the first place. On such occasions you often only see the top athletes, the legends, the premium vehicles, and the board members who represent all those in the background who keep the wheels of the Audi and FC Bayern success story turning. It is people who shape and nurture this partnership — at all levels and in all roles. What unites us, as always, is progress: the aspiration to become better and better — with attitude, courage, and confidence.
