We are on fire for Formula 1. With no fossil fuels.
A Formula 1 power unit will be built in Germany again: here at Audi. When I heard that Audi was getting involved in Formula 1, I knew that I had to be part of it. I want a job that is close to my heart and that is motor racing. With our commitment to Formula 1, we will show how powerful electrified power units and sustainable, innovative fuels are. The thing I love about my job is the passion that binds us. Motorsport is not just our job, it is our life. We are all in one team and have the same goal: to bring progress to electrification in Formula 1.
"Formula 1 will be a test lab for sustainable technologies."
"Formula 1 will be a test lab for sustainable technologies."
– Sümeyye, HR Business Partner | Audi Formula Racing GmbH
For us, Formula 1 is both a competition and a sophisticated development lab. The transformation to electrification at the highest level will be resolutely implemented with our motorsport involvement. Neuburg, where the Competence Center Motorsport is located, is one of Audi’s most modern locations. Especially with regard to sustainability. The site is supplied with district heat from industrial waste heat and eco-power from hydropower plants. The FIA has bestowed the site with the highest award for environmental protection and sustainability – the Three-Star Environmental Accreditation.
Our team is international.
We are always looking for good, motivated people who want to work with us. When setting up a team that aims to bring progress to electrification in Formula 1, we receive a great many international applications. I often talk to people from Italy, England, France and Japan. I make sure that I find the right people for the team. And I also ensure that they feel at home with us.
